Okay, this is admittedly quite a stroll off the beaten path for me. But a commission is a commission, and the Campo Vintage Auto museum needed a painting of a 1924 Cadillac. It was a bit of a struggle, and I found that my portraiture skills weren’t readily transferable to this type of subject matter. Too many straight lines and smooth surfaces. But considering that it was all freehand (no rulers or stencils) I guess it came out okay. And it does appear to have been a helluva ride.
