I am not sure if the subject here is a real mountain man, as in the Jeremiah Johnson sense, or not. No doubt that his beard looks the genuine part, but some of his attire as shown in the photo looks, well, wrong to me. So I made a few arbitrary changes in that regard, while being strictly true to the likeness. This, too, is for publication in the Campo Backcountry Messenger, my number one supporter.
